This Huffington Post column by LEAP speaker Norm Stamper is a few weeks old, but I just discovered it today. In the past I've tried to add Norm's blog to our blog roll on the right hand side, but for some reason Blogger redirects to the entire entire Huffington Post news feed. :-(
On another topic, would anyone be opposed to placing Google Ads on the blog as a way to raise money for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition? There are pros and cons to doing this and I'm curious to know how you feel about it.
I say go for it with the ads. They've reached the point of ubiquity, so we're all used to seeing them everywhere already -- plus extensions like AdBlocker for Firefox can suppress them if users so desire. Might as well go ahead and generate a little extra revenue, I think we can all agree that it would be going to a worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, Norm Stamper's posts are consistently sublime.
Usually I don't agree with the Google ads simply because we know what we'll be seeing.
ReplyDeleteD Free for one.
In this case though money talks and BS walks, and all Pro Legalization organizations do need the income to push this long-drawn out snowball over the mountain.
I'll roll my eyes and laugh at several but do my best to ignore them. Can't be much worse than the spam received daily for Viagra and the like.
Go ahead with the ads. This effort needs as much money as it can possibly get.
ReplyDeleteIf its for the greater good of LEAP, and/or the Movement in general, I would even consider clicking on some. ;p
