Arizona Medical Marijuana Patients Need to Comment on New Rules Draft

The first comment period has ended for the new rules for the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act with only 1300 comments.

It's very important people, especially patients read and comment on the next draft of the new rules that will be released January 31st for public comment. The department of health will also be holding 4 public meeting about the new rules from February 14 – 17th, cities and addresses are below.

One problem of many that I see in the rules, is that the non-profit portion of Prop 203 was mentioned very few times. If we don't remove the enormous profits, we will have criminals involved in medical marijuana in Arizona.

These are the important dates to remember....

# January 31, 2011: ADHS posts official draft Rules for public comment

# January 31, 2011 – February 18, 2011: ADHS receive public comment on a revised draft of the Rules

  1. Again with the obsession over "non-profit" dispensaries. There is nothing wrong with honest businesspeople making a profit from their work. The state should focus more on keeping the business above ground and legally sanctioned to prevent black market operators, and focus less on worrying about whether honest people are making a buck in a free society.

  2. Very cool blog. I am trying to formulate my own thoughts about legalization of drugs, so I might pop around here some more.
